9-11 District Champions!

Congratulations to our 9-11 team for winning the District 5 championship. They defeated Lobo Little League 13-7 in a hard-fought championship game. Here's how GameChanger saw it:

Altamont Defeats Lobo Little League Despite Allowing 4-Run Inning

    Altamont managed through a push by Lobo Little League in the fifth inning where Altamont coughed up four runs, but Altamont still won 13-7 on Wednesday. Finley, Tarrazas, and GondarA all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

    Bats blistered as Altamont collected 16 hits and Lobo Little League tallied nine in the high-scoring game.

    Altamont captured the lead in the first inning. Cal S drew a walk, scoring one run.

    Lobo Little League evened things up at two in the top of the second inning. Tolino-Anderson grounded out, scoring one run.

    After Lobo Little League scored four runs in the top of the fifth, Altamont answered with four of their own. Lobo Little League scored when Finley doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Tarrazas grounded out, scoring one run, and GondarA singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Altamont then answered when Cal singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Carter M doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs, and Nate N singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

    Altamont took the lead for good with seven runs in the third inning. In the third Avery D singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs, Jedi M singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, Kade C singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, Isaiah B was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Cal drew a walk, scoring one run.

    Nate got the win for Altamont. He surrendered seven runs on nine hits over six innings.

    Tolino-Anderson took the loss for Lobo Little League. He surrendered nine runs on nine hits over two and a third innings, striking out two.

    Altamont tallied 16 hits on the day. Nate, Kade, Jedi, Avery, and Isaiah each had multiple hits for Altamont. Jedi, Kade, and Nate each managed three hits to lead Altamont. Ben T had the most chances in the field with 12.

    Finley went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Lobo Little League in hits. Kean made the most plays with four.
